My Summary

My Experience

I have been working in nurseries for around a year. I was firstly working in the preschool section, this age group required more focus on preparing them for reception and school readiness and well as creating the building blocks for their maths and phonics development. I then worked in a toddler room where there was more of a focus on communication and language and emotional development all based of the EYFS. I was able to use theatre to help teach and help these children develop through puppets and songs which I would make up that would help memory development.
While working within the company I also upkept hygiene standards and food safety as well and nappy changes and safety when supervising children on trips outside the nursery. It's very important to me to have clear communication with parents and carers and other elements of the child's life (clubs, school, other family members, doctors) to have healthy relationships.
I also have experience working with children with SEND.
