Hi there! My name is Sophie Onions, and I believe I’d make a great babysitter. I was born in France and grew up in Switzerland, and I’m currently living in the UK with my parents. I’ve always enjoyed working with children — I’m a qualified ski instructor, so I spend a lot of time teaching and looking after kids on the slopes.
When I was 15, I completed a babysitting course in Switzerland and gained hands-on experience looking after several children while their parents were out. My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children, both as a ski instructor and a babysitter. As a ski instructor, I’ve taught kids of all ages how to ski in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment — helping them build confidence and enjoy being active outdoors.
In the evenings, I often babysat for families staying at the resort, mainly hotel guests on holiday. I looked after children while their parents were out, preparing meals, playing outside, and keeping them entertained and comfortable. This experience taught me how to adapt quickly to different routines and build trust with both kids and parents.
My Qualifications
I completed a three-day babysitting course in Switzerland at the age of 15. The course covered basic first aid, child safety, and essential skills for caring for children of different ages. It gave me a strong foundation in responsible childcare, and I’ve been building on that experience ever since through both babysitting and working with children as a ski instructor.
My Availability
I am mostly available and flexible throughout the week. I currently have a few driving lessons scheduled on certain days, but they won’t affect my overall availability. I will be on holiday from 2nd to 16th July, and after that, I am fully available. My driving lessons finish by 5th August, so from then on, my schedule will be even more open.
