About Me
Hi! My name is Maya, I was born in London and grew up in Abu Dhabi. I’m 20 years old, and I moved to Manchester a couple of years ago to study.
Being the eldest child, my baby sitting experience started with my siblings - cooking, changing nappies, playing with them, picking them up from school etc. Since then, I’ve had a multitude of babysitting and tutoring jobs where I was always looking after kids of all ages.
I have a valid UK driving license (in automatic, not manual cars), however I do not own a car and since I have not driven since moving to Manchester, I would not be comfortable driving unless I do some lessons first.
I am DBS checked and medically trained (perks of doing a healthcare degree!). Also, I’m a British citizen (so have the right to work in the UK, and I’m not on a visa).
I’m very comfortable in the kitchen, am fluent in both English and Arabic, and I love pets! I’m happy to look after any pets as a part of the job as well.
Being a university student, and not having any other commitments, my afternoons are free pretty much everyday! I can’t wait to meet you and the kids soon :)
My Experience
I’ve had multiple babysitting jobs back home (in Abu Dhabi) in the past, as well as once in the UK around a year ago - I worked 3-4 days a week, usually for 3 hours at a time. My responsibilities included picking them up from school/school bus, helping them with homework, outdoor activities, occasionally picking them up from after school activities and cooking a meal, getting them ready for bed etc. I was babysitting (for other families) for around 2 years.
My Qualifications
As I am studying a healthcare course (Pharmacy), I am trained in first aid and CPR.
My Availability
I am available to pickup from school until the evenings (Max 11pm), not overnight.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
As I don't own a car, I expect payment of transport fees if possible.
