About Me
Hello! My name is Sebnem and I live in Fen Ditton, Cambridge, with my 5-year-old child. I’ve always loved spending time with children, but after becoming a mum, my passion for childcare grew even stronger.
I have nursery experience working with children aged 0–5, supporting their daily routines such as feeding, hygiene, playtime, and learning activities. I also currently work as a part-time babysitter in Cambridge, which allows me to care for children in a warm and attentive way.
I am calm, patient, and responsible. I understand how important it is for parents to trust someone who truly cares. I’m also continuing my Early Years Child Development training (supported by the UK Department for Education) and recently completed a workshop on supporting children with challenging behaviour.
I’m especially looking for local families in Fen Ditton or nearby, as I prefer roles within walking distance or easy travel.
DBS Check
I don’t currently hold a DBS certificate but have no criminal record in Turkey. I am happy to apply for an Enhanced DBS check if needed and fully understand the importance of safeguarding in childcare.

My Experience
Nursery Assistant
Muzipo Kids, Istanbul – 2022 to 2024
I worked at a nursery centre in Istanbul where I supported children aged 0–5 in their daily routines. My responsibilities included helping with mealtimes, hygiene, nap time, and creative play activities. I worked closely with the main teachers to maintain a safe and joyful learning environment. This experience strengthened my understanding of early childhood development and the importance of routine and care.
Babysitter (Occasional/Part-Time)
Cambridge, UK – Jan 2024 to Present
Since moving to Cambridge, I have been providing occasional babysitting for local families, mainly for toddlers and pre-school children. I support bedtime routines, prepare simple meals or snacks, and engage children with age-appropriate games and storytelling. I prioritise building trust with both children and parents while ensuring a calm and positive environment.
My Qualifications
Early Years Child Development Training – Currently enrolled in this official Department for Education course, focused on understanding child development from birth to age five.
Understanding and Responding to Challenging Behaviours – Attended a 90-minute workshop (June 2025) delivered by an Education Inclusion Family Advisor.
Bachelor’s Degree in Econometrics – Uludag University, Turkey
Associate Degree in Philosophy – Anadolu University, Turkey
I also have strong communication and organisational skills developed through my previous career in finance and my hands-on experience working with young children in nursery and babysitting settings.
My Availability
I am available on both weekdays and weekends, during the daytime and evening. I can be flexible depending on the family's needs, as long as the location is within or close to Fen Ditton, Cambridge.
I am also happy to help during school holidays or in case of last-minute needs, when possible.
