Hi! My name is Sofia and I’m a friendly, responsible, and patient person who truly enjoys working with children. I’m a 2nd Year Psychology and Counseling student, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience caring for my two younger sisters from a young age and I’ve worked as a nursing assistant, which strengthened my skills in communication, patience, and hands-on care. I’m confident managing routines, staying calm under pressure, and ensuring the safety and comfort of those I look after.
My Experience
I’ve been caring for children from a young age, starting with my two younger sisters, whom I’ve helped look after since they were born. With my parents working full-time 9–5 jobs, I took on a lot of responsibility at home from feeding and changing nappies as a child, to helping with homework, preparing meals, and bedtime routines as they got older including housekeeping.
Thanks to this hands-on experience, I was trusted by family friends, neighbours, and relatives to babysit their children as well — including toddlers and school-aged kids. I’ve babysat during daytime and evening hours, and I always aim to create a fun, safe, and comforting environment.
