About Me
I am passionate about supporting, nurturing and building strong connections/bonds with children to help them navigate their own skills and growth within the world. In my previous work looking after children we had a lot of fun finding activities and adventures which they were excited for included things like trips to the museum in Edinburgh, baking, science experiments, arts & crafts and many trips to the park. I enjoy working closely with parents to support and encourage children to develop in line with family values.
My Experience
04/11/2024 – present, Fairview School, Perth
This is a 2 day student placement from college which will total 60 days. I am working with both the senior and nursey classes. This is an additional support needs setting where I engage with the pupils and have opportunities to create and carry out activities with them such as sensory stories. I have also gone on a trip, supervised playtime, supported on a transitions trip and other general inclusive activities.
May 2023 – July 24, Private Nanny, Linlithgow
I did nursery collection then later on drop with 3yr old child. Fed him lunch and dinner which I prepared. Engaged him in activities at home and days out.
July 2021 – December 2023, Babysitter/Nanny, Linlithgow
I initially started as a babysitter with the family and then became a nanny for the 2 children who were under 5. Main duties involved going on library, café and softplay trips. I prepared them lunch and picnics, we did lots of baking as well as giving them time to play independently and engaging them in play.
