I am a Registered Childminder. I have the relevant qualifications and extensive training in Childcare.
I am a qualified Social Worker and my role has always been involved in working with children and other professionals focusing on a child-centred approach in my practice. Recognised for my caring, nurturing and learning through play approach. I am passionate about building strong relationships with both children and their families. Using the EYFS to promote a child's independence and growth, within a positive learning environment. I love bringing creativity into my setting by designing hands-on, themed activities with natural and recycled materials that support children's development and make learning fun. I am keen to contribute to the local community and explore the beautiful outdoors.
My Experience
I have over ten years experience in childcare. I have worked in as a Social Worker , Personal Assistant to a Service User and her children and as a Nursery Assistant . I have personal experience in childcare and safeguarding as I have three biological children.
Additionally, I volunteer in my Church's children's ministry over the last few years. My expertise lies primarily in early childhood education with emphasis on the Early Years Foundation Framework with understanding that all children are unique and can be supported to reach their full potential. I have also had the opportunity to work with children of various ages, from 6 months to 16 years old.
