My Summary
About Me
Hi,
My name is Yada(Fern), my setting is called Busy Tiny Hands Childminding. I am an Ofsted registered, DBS checked and Full Paediatric First Aid trained childminder living in Swanley with my husband and my 4 year old son. I love spending time with my son and nephews, we love to explore, play and learn.
I live in a detached house with a downstairs playroom, kitchen and toilet for children to access and lots of resources that will assist children with their learning and development.
Our house has a spacious back garden for children to play, explore and learn. We are a fun-loving, easy going and non-smoking family.
My setting provides an enabling environment which provides a home from home atmosphere. My setting also provides a safe, happy, and comfortable environment for the children. Children should be happy which is why a relaxing environment is most important, when they are happy they let themselves go and interact with their environment and those around them which leads to fun productive play and learning. As a mother I understand safety is a top priority for parents and its also my top priority. I will treat your child like my own so you need not have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing when in my care.
I believe that all children have the right to expect positive approaches to managing their behaviour, which foster self-esteem, respect, tolerance and self-control enabling them to develop to their full potential as individuals. I use the latest recommendations from paediatric professionals to help children manage their behaviour and help them deal with their developing emotions. Children in my care will be encouraged to develop social skills to help them interact with others and prepare them for the big milestone of starting school.
My setting will provides lots of activities which will help children develop and learn through play, for example Messy play, Art & Craft, Role play, Story time, Rhythm & Rhyme, going out, self-care etc..
I can provide healthy breakfast and snacks at your request, I have completed Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety(Catering) and also Food Allergy and Intolerance courses. Children are encouraged to take part in preparing meals and snacks to motivate their healthy eating.
My Experience
I had the opportunity to study Midwifery and gain practical experience in the maternity ward in Thailand. I was able to assist the professional staff in the birth units and look after newborns. I really enjoyed helping mums with their babies and realized I liked being around babies and young children. It gave me an appreciation for the sanctity of Motherhood.
I am also raising my own son as a full-time mother.

I am so lucky to have found Yada on childcare.co.uk last year ! She looked after my 5 year old son Henry for the majority of summer holidays in 2025 and I feel so blessed to have found her ! I had never left my son with anyone before but he always couldn’t wait to go back and see Yada the next day and he enjoyed his fun filled adventures with her so much he would often get upset about leaving. The care Yada provided was second to none and I cannot speak highly enough of her and her family and the care and love she provides the children she looks after. My Henry often talks about his time at Yada’s and I hope he can return this year!
Best wishes,
Amelia & Henry xx
