About Me
The Role:
We are looking for a dependable and experienced nanny to care for our two children (aged 5 and 2.5) in Shrewsbury (SY3). This is a consistent year-round role, perfect for someone with a background in early years or primary education.
The Schedule:
Days: Monday to Thursday (excluding public holidays, and family holidays which will be pre-informed)
Hours: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM, total of 10 hours per week
Start Date: Beginning of August (negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
School & Nursery Pick-up: Collecting both children (a 10-minute walk from the house).
Mealtime: Heating up/preparing simple, pre-prepared meals (e.g., pasta/healthy snacks) and supervising tea time.
Active Play: Engaging the children in creative play and helping the 5-year-old with light homework. Please note: This is a screen-free role (no TV/tablets).
Light Tidying: Ensuring the play area is tidy at the end of the shift.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of childcare experience with excellent references.
Bonus: Primary school teaching or TA experience is highly desirable.
Dependable, punctual, and genuinely enjoys active engagement with children.
Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one).
