Hello! I am currently not looking for a permanent position, but I am available for babysitting / ad hoc work.
I am a Norland Nanny, qualified for 16 years, with over 20 years of vast experience with children, from newborn to teenagers. My main priority when babysitting is always to ensure children feel safe, comfortable and happy in their parents absence.
I hold an enhanced DBS check that is registered with the update service and available to be checked. I hold an up to date paediatric first aid certificate, child protection certification and have numerous references also available.
My qualifications are:
Norland Diploma
Diploma of higher education in early childhood studies.
NVQ children’s care learning and development.
I have my own lovely 13 year old daughter who has definitely given me the most valuable experience I could have when it comes to childcare. She has been a part of my work life since she was born and if families are happy for her to come along she does. Although this is tapering off now she is older!
I am very adaptable and can easily fit in with individual families needs and requirements.
I can offer evening babysitting, ad hoc nannying, care for overnight and multiple days - e.g a full weekend.
I offer awake night nanny duties - to settle babies and children through the night - as well as giving night feeds.
I also offer childhood consultancy - usually done virtually but in person can also be arranged. This can be to discuss any particular issues you may be having with children. I can help and give advice for preparations for a newborn, weaning advice, toilet training, play, routines, resource organisation and many more. Do please get in touch if you are interested.

Katie was amazing looking after my son and supporting me from when he was only 3 months old and as a child minder when I went back to work . Her genuinely caring nature and professionalism was a perfect combination!

Katie cared for my first daughter at aged 11 months on a regular basis for over a year and half and we have also used her for adhoc babysitting. She has wonderful way with young children and they respond to her warmth and love. My daughter LOVES her and looks forward to going to her house! I honestly don’t think you could find a better babysitter! She is professional, reliable and has an extensive background in child care. I cannot recommend Katie highly enough!

Katie looked after my daughter, aged 1, for two days a week for a year until we moved abroad.
Katie was fantastic. Highly professional, extremely caring and always happy and positive. Katie was accommodating and flexible as I worked awkward hours.
Katie looked after my child alongside her own daughter, this really added to the experience as they adored each other.
Katie made this time very special for us and we are still in touch two years later. Highly recommend.
