Nature filled, magical, creative childcare

Our 1 year old boy was with Tamara for 3 days a week and we genuinely couldn't have wished for a better experience. Entrusting someone with your first child is one of the biggest leaps of faith you'll ever take and Tamara made that feel effortless. Every single day we knew he was having a magical, nature-filled, fun packed adventure. From forest trips and muddy puddles to arts and crafts, baking, and a never ending supply of imaginative activities that Tamara dreams up, she gives the children the most amazing and magical childhood which I really don't think is possible in a traditional nursery setting. We live in Walthamstow which meant we needed to drive to take our son there, but we chose Tamara over more local nurseries and childminders because she was the most outstanding childminder we had come across and we had absolutely no regrets.
Tamara is incredible; totally reliable, communicative, organised and just bursting with kindness and love for the children. Her home is beautiful, always incredibly clean and tidy, and a wonderful light and airy space which the children can play both inside and out in the lovely garden. Her philosophy that being outside in nature is a hugely important part of child development really resonated with me and I loved how she would take them outside on some sort of adventure every day, whatever the weather. I grew up on a farm in the countryside and so was daunted by the idea of creating an outdoorsy childhood for my children in London, but Tamara showed me that this is 100% possible.
She would also provide the most amazing selection of healthy lunches and snacks for the children and I loved seeing what was on the menu each week. She would document each child's daily activities, food, development and highlights of the day in a little notebook which was really lovely to read every day and felt much more personal than logging into a nursery app. We were also treated to a daily set of photos which was always such a joy to see what adventures they were on that day and gave me a huge dose of dopamine whilst at work!
My son clearly bonded with the other children and it was incredibly sweet to see them all playing together like a little family.
Unfortunately a move to Brighton for a new job opportunity meant that our son was only with Tamara for 6 months, and it is so sad he couldn't stay with her for longer as there is no doubt we would have stayed for many years had we stayed in the area as she was able to provide exactly the kind of childhood we had hoped he would have.
Tamara is an absolute super woman! I will always be inspired by her incredible attitude to childcare and forever grateful for the love and care she gave to my son.
If you are looking for a childminder I honestly don't think you will find anyone better than Tamara, she is one in a billion!
