My Requirements

I’m looking for a caring, reliable nanny to help look after my 6-year-old daughter during school term time. She lives between two houses, so you’ll work between a home in Spofforth and one off Spofforth Hill in Wetherby. This is a permanent role starting from January 2026.

About the role:

Tuesdays: Pick her up from school at 3:15pm, bring her home, help her get ready for Rainbows and give her a snack. Drop her off at Rainbows at 4:30.

Thursdays: Pick her up at 3:15pm, bring her home, look after her for a couple of hours while I finish work, play with her and help her unwind, ideally make her some tea (optional).

Occasional other times: Rarely, I might ask if you can do the morning school run if I need to be in work early but this is strictly optional and entirely at your discretion. There may be occasional other evenings required to collect her from school too and take care of her for a couple of hours. 

Other details:

6 years old, asthma is well-controlled but morning medication may be needed.

Small dog at the other parent’s house in Spofforth — must be comfortable with dogs.

Driving essential — own car with appropriate insurance required.

First aid trained, DBS checked, non-smoker ideally.

Reliable, caring, and fun.

Organised and punctual.

Happy to help with light meal prep or snacks.

Start date: January 2026 — ideally long-term.

Location: Based around Wetherby and Spofforth, North Yorkshire.

Pay: Open to discussion — fair, competitive rate for the right person.
