We’re a friendly and welcoming family of five relocating to Oxfordshire this September from the United States. We have three young girls: a 4.5-year-old who will be starting Reception, a 2.5-year-old who will begin nursery in January, and a newborn who will be home full-time. We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate, and reliable nanny to become an important part of our family’s routine and help us through this exciting transition.
My Requirements
We are seeking a full-time, live-out nanny to care primarily for our newborn, with additional support for our toddler and school-aged child during afternoons and evenings. The ideal candidate will be experienced with both infants and toddlers, confident managing multiple children, and comfortable working in a dynamic, active household.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sole care of newborn during the day
• Support with toddler care (before and after nursery starting January)
• After-school care for our eldest, including school pickup if needed
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children
• Assisting with bedtime routines several evenings a week
• Engaging the children with age-appropriate activities and outdoor play
• Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying toys, children’s laundry, etc.)
Schedule:
• Approximately 40–45 hours per week
• Several days per week will require later hours (10am–8pm) to support with dinner and bedtime
• Flexibility is appreciated for occasional changes in schedule
Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with babies and toddlers
• Confident driver with clean license (car can be provided if needed)
• Up-to-date pediatric first aid certification
• Fluent English speaker; strong communication skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
