Hi, my name is Jess! I’m a qualified primary school teacher and private tutor. I recently moved to Brentwood and I’m excited to connect with local families who are looking for extra support for their primary-aged children. I’m passionate about helping children build confidence in their learning and making lessons engaging and enjoyable.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher with 10 years of classroom experience, teaching across Year 1 to Year 6. Alongside my teaching career, I have also tutored pupils on a 1:1 basis for over 5 years. Throughout this time, I have helped children make outstanding progress by tailoring sessions to their individual needs and learning styles.
I have worked in both public and private schools, both internationally and here in the UK, which has given me a broad perspective on different curricula and approaches. I am confident delivering engaging sessions in all areas of KS1 and KS2 English, Maths and Science, and I can also help pupils prepare for 11+ assessments. In addition, I have experience supporting KS3 students with homework and subjects that require written work, especially English.
