About Me
Hello! My name is Kara, I’m 25 years old and live in the southside of Glasgow. I have a love and enthusiasm towards working with babies and children. I’m very patient, calm and caring. I’ve just come back from working seasons for a few years as a Nanny/Childrens Activity Leader with Neilson Active Holiday. I’m keen to keep up my work, part-time, with children as I find the work very rewarding and love caring for young children in the years where they are growing into their personalities and exploring their new world.
My Experience
My job with Neilson Active Holidays as a Children’s Activity Leader working both summer and winter seasons from 2022 till this past winter 2025 - gave me a lot of experience with children mainly 5 and under.
I’ve looked after babies as young as 6 months old and have a lot of experience and knowledge in nappy changing, bottle feeding, bottle sterilising, play and nap/sleep times.
I’m very confident in taking babies/children to different activities including, swimming, soft play, the park and many other activities I’m happy to discuss more if asked!
I have some experience working with children in 1-2-1 care with additional needs, which I think has allowed me to greater my patience and empathy in my work with all children.
My Qualifications
I’m emergency first aid at work trained and have an online paediatric first aid course.
I am DBS and ACRO checked.
My Availability
I am available Monday-Friday but as part-time so would be looking to work 2-3 days out of the week nannying.
