About Me

Hi! I'm Emily, I'm 24 and originally from South Africa. I hold an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and an Honours in Economics from the University of Cape Town. Since finishing my studies at the end of 2023, I’ve been on a gap year that has included working seasonally in the United States—primarily in Aspen, Colorado—and traveling extensively through Latin America and Asia.

My Experience

While in Aspen, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a nanny and babysitter for several high-profile families, offering flexible and attentive care in a fast-paced, high-trust environment. My experience includes caring for children of various ages, adapting quickly to different family routines and parenting styles, and creating fun, safe, and engaging activities for kids.

My Qualifications

CPR & First Aid certified through the National CPR Foundation. Over 5 years of childcare experience, including work with high-profile families through Aspen Nannies in Colorado. I hold an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town and have completed additional training in climate science and communication. Experienced with children of all ages, I bring a calm, responsible, and engaging approach to every family I work with.
