Hello,
I live in Cowes with my husband, who’s an NHS Physio Therapist.
I’m looking for some nannying work for the summer before I start university (a Social Work course) in autumn.
I am experienced in working with children, and currently work for a child contact centre, often supporting vulnerable and distressed children (of all ages, including newborns, and children with learning difficulties) to create a safe environment for them to see their families in.
I enjoy being creative with the children and take initiative to help them settle, come up with craft and learning projects and just help them have an enjoyable time, where possible, under often stressful and unfamiliar circumstances.
I love this job and working with children, however I am looking for something different and closer to home before starting university.

I am DBS checked, First Aid trained and receive regular training in preventing and spotting abuse, distress and trauma in both children and adults.
I am also open to offers on payment if needed.
My Experience
Working in a family contact centre to facilitate supervised meetings between fostered children and their families.
This often includes preventing and alleviating conflict and requires me to be vigilant to the child’s needs, emotional and physical questions and requires me to respond quickly to respond effectively to the child to ensure they stay safe and happy during the contact and that all their care needs and wishes and feelings are heard and met.

Foundation degree in Midwifery.
A levels (chemistry, biology, drama)
