About Me
My name is Rachael and I am 48. I have 2 daughters, Megan 26 and Molly 21 and a beautiful 2 year old granddaughter. I have been childminding for 25 years. I have a fun and exciting routine which involves local toddler groups, weekly music sessions and lots of trips to the park and local soft play centres as well as a membership to Willows farm. I work closely with other local childminders, which is great for annual holiday cover. I have lots of references available if required and would gladly put you in touch with other parents that I have worked with. I live in a 3 bedroom house with a secure garden. My conservatory is purpose built for my business, full of toys, craft activities etc, and secured with a stair gate. My garden backs on to fields and lots of open space, which is great for exploring with the children. I like to encourage healthy eating for the children and always give the children the opportunity for lots of physical and creative activties. The children that I care for are settled and happy and are always really excited to come and play. I also have a 7 year old cocker spaniel named Baxter. He is kept separately from the setting but resides in my house.
My Experience
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and my registration number is EY286369. I have 25 years experience working with ages that range from 8 weeks to 10 years. I have completed my NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development. My last Ofsted inspection, which was carried out in March 2025, was extremely positive with a good outcome and is available upon request.
My Qualifications
I have attended First Aid for Children, Safeguarding Children, Introducing Childminding Practice and NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development.
My Availability
I am available Tuesday to Friday from 07:30 to 17.30 with some flexibility if required.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 per hour.

Rachael has provided holiday cover for my two boys in the past and they have always enjoyed the time spent with her.
Rachael has continued with the routines the boys have in place when they have been there and has taken them out daytrips where possible.
The boys have been more than happy to go to Rachaels on the occasions that she has provided cover and they have always come home well fed and happy with exciting stories to tell of their day.

Racahel childminds my twin boys and has had them since they were 9 months old. She is just fabulous with them and they have developed so much in her care. She is warm, kind and caring and they love her!
They have a range of experiences with her every week including going to a toddler group.
I feel so lucky to have her looking after my boys.
