About Me
I was born and raised in London, it's all I know. I grew up with 4 siblings and fortunately a lot of family around. I'm the eldest daughter in a traditional household so I've grown up with a lot of responsibilities naturally. My family would describe me as a very level-headed person, mature and very patient. I'm also known jokingly as the one who loves kids and babies in my house. I’ve always found it so rewarding working with children even when I was a child in year 6 I used to help out the year 1 and 2 students whenever they’d let me. I’m currently in University, this is my first year studying anthropology, I've always loved learning about history and people and culture so this course worked for me. I have a few ideas for the future but I'm still navigating everything.
3 words I’d use to describe how I am
crafty because its always been my thing, if I have nothing to do I would start embroidering little pieces. I have GCSEs in both art and textiles so I've always loved creating stuff and helping children do so as well.
I am tidy and organised because I live in a very traditional household so it's all I know and sometimes I think I may have little OCD tendencies so cleaning just calms me.
I am nurturing because I honestly understand how important it is to listen and see how the child is feeling determining how you respond to support in the best possible way so they are happy and comfortable. I have a lot of experience with this with younger cousins so I would definitely describe myself as nurturing.

My childcare experience has always been academic in a way through volunteering and tutoring programs and sometimes helping out in my local schools in my free time. If not, it's my younger family members looking after them fully, making them food, playing with them, toilet needs, cleaning and taking them to bed. But for my academic experience with kids, I would do my job teaching them and supporting them and making sure there's no distress and keeping them happy and calm, I would be by their side helping them out. My hours would be an hour or two when volunteering or tutoring as this was a time when I had more of a demanding school schedule. I volunteered in a program where children could learn about archaeology through workshops.
My Qualifications
I may not have official childcare qualifications, but I have plenty of experience caring for younger family members. I’ve also volunteered with children, supporting play and activities in a safe environment. I hold a valid DBS check, ensuring I’m trustworthy, responsible, and committed to children’s safety and wellbeing.
