About Me
I am a 20-year-old Primary Education student, currently in my third year of study. I live on a farm just outside of Biggar and come from a large family as one of eight siblings. I’m also a proud aunt to three young children, whom I regularly babysit. These experiences have given me a natural ability to connect with children of all ages in a caring, patient, and responsible way.
I would describe myself as creative, fun, and engaging, with a passion for designing arts and crafts activities that allow children to express themselves and learn through play. Growing up in a rural environment, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors and understand the importance of outdoor play in supporting children’s physical, emotional, and social development. I love incorporating nature-based activities wherever possible to help children thrive in active, stimulating environments.
My Experience
I am currently in my third year of a Primary Education degree and have developed a strong foundation in both teaching and child care. In addition to my academic studies, I am a fully qualified lifeguard and certified swimming instructor. I also hold a valid Emergency Paediatric First Aid certification.
Over the past year, I have gained hands-on experience working as a childminder, during which I successfully completed my SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). I take great pride in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of every child in my care.
Furthermore, I have held a clean driver’s licence for over three years and own my own vehicle, offering flexibility and reliability. With a genuine passion for nurturing children’s growth and creating positive learning environments, I am committed to supporting every child to thrive both personally and academically.
