My Experience

I have experience caring for children from newborns up to 9 years old. I started by helping family friends with their little ones, and by the age of 15, I began getting paid for babysitting. Since then, I’ve supported multiple families in my free time, offering reliable, hands-on care.

I’m confident with all aspects of daily care including mealtimes, nappy changing, bathing, and sticking to the family’s routines. Whether it’s keeping a baby calm and cuddled or keeping up with energetic toddlers, I approach every job with patience, warmth, and attention to each child’s needs. I’m currently studying a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology at Northumbria University, where my modules include child development. I’m learning how children grow, think and feel at each stage, which helps me understand their behaviour and respond with kindness and consistency.

Alongside my nanny work, I work as a teaching assistant, supporting children in SEN schools, primary schools and nurseries. This has taught me to adapt to each child’s needs, to communicate in different ways (including with children who are non-verbal), and to stay calm and positive in difficult moments. I use clear routines, visual aids and gentle guidance to help children feel safe, confident and engaged.

With the families I have worked for, I take care of daily routines, safety and wellbeing, and I plan fun, age-appropriate activities that children enjoy. I build trusting relationships with parents through good communication and reliability, and I treat families’ information with discretion.

My Qualifications

Currently completing a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree at Northumbria University, with academic training in child development, attachment theory, and cognitive and emotional growth across infancy and early childhood. Through this, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how to support children’s wellbeing, communication, and behavioural needs in practical, everyday settings. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant with Milk Education supporting children in SEN schools, primary schools and nurseries.

My Availability

I am available on Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday's after 11am, Thursday's and the weekends.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

My rate is £13 per hour, dropping to £11 per hour after the first 6 hours on longer days. I keep my rates fixed so that things are simple and fair for every family.
