Part-Time After School Nanny – South Croydon
We are a friendly family based in Croydon looking for a warm, reliable and experienced nanny to care for our two children – a 6-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl – after school, three days a week.
- Days & Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm (term time only)
There may also be opportunities for occasional babysitting or additional hours during the school holidays, if desired.
Locations
- School: Elmhurst Prep School & Nursery, South Croydon
- Home: Alexandra Road, Croydon
The journey from the school to our home is approximately 30 minutes door-to-door by public transport (one direct bus plus a short walk).
Responsibilities
- Collect our children from school.
- Travel home with them safely.
- Organise and serve a healthy evening meal (pre-prepared).
- Help our son with homework where appropriate.
- Spend quality time playing, reading and engaging with both children.
- Bathe the children and get them into their pyjamas.
- Get them settled and ready for bed before we arrive home.
- Tidy the kitchen and children's play areas after use.
- Provide a brief handover when we return at 7:00 pm.
Requirements
- Previous nanny or childcare experience.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (preferred).
- Excellent references.
- Kind, patient, trustworthy and reliable.
Travel
The journey is straightforward by public transport (one direct bus and a short walk). We will cover all reasonable public transport costs associated with travelling between the school and our home.
