About Me
Hi, I am an ofsted registered childminder. I am a mummy to 3 wonderful children aged 9, 3 and 1. We live in Lyneham, with our cats Brian and Popcorn (can you tell the children named them?!)
The focus in my setting is learning through play! Very much inspired by ‘Hygge in the early years’ and ‘Montessori.’
We spend a lot of time outdoors, a daily play in the garden plus outings such as farm parks, splash pads, country/forest walks, local play parks. We would rather be learning in the garden than inside.
I believe in 'process over product' meaning your child may not come home with picture perfect artwork, but will have gained many age appropriate, additional skills whilst doing the activity.
My 9 yr old has Autism and ADHD so I have plenty of experience (and patience) with neurodivergent needs.
I am happy to provide 3 meals a day for children, which will all be 'home cooked,' nutritious and tasty. I have experience with allergies/dietary requirements as one of my own children is dairy intolerant.
My Experience
I have recently completed the Wiltshire council 'Childminding bootcamp.'
I also come from a family of childcare providers. My mother was a nursery manager and childminder, and my aunty was on Ofsted inspector of early years settings.
Childcare is second nature to me! (especially as I have my own 3children too.)
My Qualifications
I have completed courses on:
-EYFS, Regulation, Safety, Health & Hygiene
-Safeguarding, Child Protection, Safer Recruitment
-Learning & Development, Observation, Transitions
I have also completed Paediatric first aid, and food safety levels 1 & 2. As well as extra courses on safeguarding via SVPP, and have completed courses on E-safety, safer sleep for babies, FGM, and working with Children with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
I have also completed a course on Early Child Development.
Many moons ago, I completed an A Level in Child Psychology.
My Availability
I am available Mon-Friday from 7am until 6pm.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
Food is charged at £2 per meal, or £5 per day for all 3 meals (you may also provide your own meals if you wish to do so)
My hourly rate includes nappies, wipes, outings, snacks, drinks etc.
The only consumable I ask you to provide, is baby formula.

Ellie was our sons first childminder, he started with her when he was 1 year old. Ellie was amazing right from the start, she was so caring and attentive, and we felt she really cared about us as his parents, not just our son.
She does so much with the children from trips out to farms, soft play, baby groups, splash parks, parks, picnics etc. She also has an incredible set up at home with so many toys, every month theres a different theme (insects, beach, animals).
She's helpednour son grow and develop so much and we couldn't have asked for a better childminder. I would absolutely recommend Ellie to anyone!
