Hi, I’m Haruka!
I’m looking for part-time babysitting/nanny work in Topsham, Exeter and Exmouth area.
I’m currently studying for my Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification and working at local nursery school.
What I Can Help With:
-Looking after children 3-5 years old
-School and nursery drop-offs & pick-ups
-Playing with children at home or at local parks
-Simple household tasks such as tidying up and washing dishes
-Keeping children safe, calm and engaged during our time together
What I may not be able to help with:
(I haven't completed training or have less experience with)
-Looking after children under 2 years old
-Feeding milk and food
-Changing nappy
I have 3 years of babysitting experience in Japan, caring for children aged 2 to 7, including little ones who needed extra support. I have worked in nursery school in the UK since 2025 as a nursery teacher assistant.
I love spending time with children and I’m a very patient, kind and reliable person. I enjoy supporting each child’s growth and creating a safe, fun and relaxed environment where they can be themselves.
I am looking for babysitting/nanny work in Topsham, Exeter, and Exmouth area, but I am happy to travel to the areas where I can reach by public transport from Topsham because I don't have a car.
I am currently available on the weekend and holidays because of my work schedule, however I may be able to help you on the weekdays during school holidays such as half term week, summer and Christmas holiday. Please feel free to ask availability.

My Experience
Nursery teacher assistant in nursery school in the UK
I assist nursery practitioners in supervising children aged 2-5 during play, learning, and outdoor activities. I support children with special support and English as additional language.
I help to maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment following nursery health and safety guidelines.
I build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and social development.
Babysitting Experience in Japan (3 years)
2-year-old girl & 6-year-old boy (2 years)
I looked after siblings and helped with school drop-offs and pick-ups, and took them to their local sports club.
One of the children was autistic, and through this experience I learned how to support children who find it difficult to express their feelings or sit still when needed.
I always tried to make them feel comfortable and safe while keeping routines consistent.
7-year-old girl (1 year)
I helped with school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs for a year.
She was a bit shy at first, but I’m good at gently building trust, and we soon got along really well.
Experience at Hamagakuen Cram School (Japan)
I worked as a tutor at a well-known cram school in Japan.
I supported children aged 7 to 12, helping them with schoolwork and exam preparation.
I focused on creating a warm, supportive and trusting relationship with every student so they could learn comfortably and confidently.
Japanese Teaching Volunteer
Taught Japanese to immigrants and international students in Japan for over 8 years.
Supported students to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in Japanese.
Helped 6 students to pass Japanese language test.
