About Me
Hi there, my name is Shanelle and I am a mum to two beautiful children, a son who is 3.5 years old and a daughter who is 15 months. I live in Silchester with my husband, children and our little cavalier dog called Arlo. As a family we thrive on being outdoors, our son is often in the garden before nursery, bare foot and playing golf. Our daughter loved copying him. We don’t do screens for the children, so no tv, tablets or shows on our phones and we’ve seen that our son is developing wonderfully with his independent play and minimal tantrums, if any. It’s been a game changer, 7 months in and no turning back! We love our village and often walk to the play park and the pop up cafe, which is open on a Wednesday and Friday. Our son is enjoying baking/cooking and getting involved in helping with chores. Our daughter is very spirited and loves getting involved in everything, from playing with the magnetites, to walking around with the remote to her ear saying hello hello. I’ve just been promoted and travel quite a bit with work, however, will be having Fridays off with the children. I mainly work from home if I’m not travelling which is nice. My husband also works full time but in the office, which is only 10 minutes away from home.
My Requirements
Due to changes within my work situation, we are seeking a nanny for 3/4 days a week 9-5:30 primarily to look after our daughter. We plan to keep our son in preschool nursery but reduce his hours to three days a week 8-2 so will require our nanny to pick him up at 2pm and look after him until 5:30. We’re flexible on days (except Friday) and working hours, but my in laws do have the children one day a week so will need to coordinate with them. I’ve higher below 3 days with the children being with my in laws on Tuesday and me having them on Friday. It could be that the in laws have them on the Wednesday if better. We’re looking for a nurturing nanny who enjoys being outdoors come rain or shine, getting involved in messy/sensory play and provide a loving/caring environment for the children.
