My Experience

As I begin the process of registering as a childminder, I am currently able to care for another baby or toddler alongside my own daughter from the comfort and safety of my own home. I have my own transport and can provide nutritious meals where appropriate. I am committed to creating a loving, nurturing, and secure environment in which children feel valued and supported.

I strongly believe that play is the most effective form of learning, and I place each child’s welfare and individual needs at the heart of my care. I bring a wealth of experience working with children from newborn through to 16 years of age. During my time at university, I worked as a live-in nanny for four years, and have continued to care for children of all ages as a trusted babysitter over the years.

I am currently registered with Safe Disclosure Scotland and have recently completed a baby and child first aid course, reflecting my dedication to providing safe, responsible, and high-quality care.

My Qualifications

I hold an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences from Edinburgh Napier University, which included focused study in child psychology. I am first aid trained, hold a valid food hygiene certificate, and have over four years’ experience working as a live-in nanny. This background supports my ability to provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally informed care for children in a home-based setting
