About Me
Hi! I am a Psychology graduate from the University of Plymouth with a love of children and a passion for making children and young people feel safe and understood. I am returning to Plymouth in September 2025 and looking to help families however I can with babysitting, ad-hoc nannying, and even pet sitting/house sitting alongside my studies. I pride myself on being fun, empathetic, and reliable. I am more than happy to help with children of any age/need, and have extensive experience with children with additional needs.
My Experience
I have been babysitting/nannying since the age of 16, my first job being a 1-1 equestrian nanny where I regularly took a young girl out to her pony, supervising, teaching and motivating her. Since then, I have helped a number of families babysitting children aged 3 upwards (references available). Alongside my degree, I worked in special needs schools across Plymouth as a supply teaching assistant, developing my skills in supporting those with SEND. Since then, I have had a year off of university working full time in special needs EYFS, specialising in working with non-verbal students. I have government certified training off my own back, such as 'Supporting children's development'. I understand the importance of routine, fun, and safety. I’m also happy to help with homework, bedtime routines, and light household tasks while making sure your child is happy and well cared for.
