About Me

Hi, I am Abbie, I am 20 years old and some info about me:

I have an enhanced DBS check which is renewed each year due to the nature of my university degree.

I study away at university (Reading) so I am only available in Plymouth during school holidays.

I am a trainee teacher studying Primary Education at uni, with 1 year left to complete. I have always wanted to have a career working with children in schools, nurturing them and encouraging them to become the best versions of themselves. I am very fond of educational play-based learning and strive to make learning basic motor and life skills fun.

I am flexible with time, where it fits in with my main job, do contact to find out more about availability.

I have a bubbly personality and can use this to engage children with my presence, holding their attention to activities or tasks they are completing.

I am confident and outgoing in all that I do, striving to always be the best version of myself and to act as a role model to children I am working with.

My Experience

Studying primary education, I am around children regularly in a professional setting. I have been volunteering and working in schools on and off for 4 years.

I am employed in a children’s play cafe ( Moo Music Plymouth) where I have built close relationships with children and parents alike, developing a level of trust and friendships with little ones and a safe space for parents to come to when they need.

I also work in a trampoline park while away at uni, and while this job is more customer service based, I still spend a great amount of time around the children who are using the facilities.

I have experience in working with and looking after children from ages 3-12.

My Qualifications

GCSE’s grades 6-7 across all subjects
A-levels grades C-A across all subjects
University degree- currently due to start 3rd year, will finish a fully qualified teacher.
First aid training (paediatric) 2021-present.

My Availability

I am flexible with times across the afternoon and evening alongside my cafe job, Monday to Friday and Sundays and on Saturdays I have full day availability.
