About Me
Hi, I’m Leah - a qualified Primary School Teacher but have recently decided to change career paths since becoming a mum, in July 2024, to my little girl. I have years of experience working with children and young people, both in an educational & home setting. My childminding service is operated from my family home, where I am passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children in my care.
My Experience
Before becoming a childminder, I worked as a Primary School Teacher, where I developed a deep understanding of child development, learning through play, and age-appropriate activities. I am skilled at planning fun, engaging experiences that help children to grow, learn & thrive in their environment. My teaching background also means that I’m experienced in supporting children’s language development, early literacy, numeracy and social skills - all in a nurturing and playful way.
As a new parent myself, I understand the importance of creating an environment that is welcoming, nurturing and stimulating. My home will also be your child’s home-from-home, where they will feel loved and secure, and where parents can feel confident that their child is safe and happy.
My Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education
- Enhanced Child Protection training

8am-5pm Monday-Thursday

- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
