About Me
I am friendly, determined and passionate about working with children and believe children need patience, understanding and support in their education to ensure that they have the ability to grow and learn at once whilst receiving the best possible care. I have committed these passions and values to my 3 years of previous work in early years and carried these values with me at the same standard throughout, in this work I managed to pick up multiple qualifications relevant to this role. Working with children has been something that I have aspired to do for many years and studying early years further has deepened my understanding of the importance of the way practitioners approach their work and has helped me to carry out best practice in my experience in childcare.
My Experience
I started working with children when I was 15 as a volunteer at a before/after school group and volunteered at their school holiday club with ages 2-11. After a few months of volunteering experience I was hired and continued to work there until I wanted to move to a nursery setting to deepen my experience within early years.
My Qualifications
I currently do not have childcare qualifications in terms of being a licensed practitioner; however I have previously had a year of studies in Early Years, Childcare and Education and a further year as an apprentice in a nursery. I also have paediatric first aid training including CPR as well as other certificates such as food allergy awareness and food hygiene as well as child safeguarding.
