About Me
Hi, I’m Abi
I’m a mum to a 13 month old girl based in Wollaston Village and the owner of a warm, home-from-home childminding setting designed to help children feel safe, happy and cared for while they learn and grow.
Before starting my childminding journey, I worked in the dental industry, including both dental nursing and dental sales, where I developed strong communication, organisation and caring skills. Becoming a mum inspired me to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive through play, routine, exploration and individual attention.
My setting offers a calm, family-focused atmosphere with a dedicated play space, outdoor activities, local walks and trips to nearby parks. I believe children learn best when they feel secure, valued and encouraged to be themselves.
I aim to build strong relationships with both children and parents, working together to support each child’s development and create a positive experience for the whole family.

My Experience
I have a background in both childcare and healthcare-focused roles, with previous experience working as a dental nurse before moving into dental sales as a Territory Manager, supporting dental practices across my area. These roles helped me develop strong communication, organisation, safeguarding awareness and caring skills that I now bring into my childminding setting.
As a mum myself, I have hands-on experience caring for and supporting young children through their early development, routines and learning. This has strengthened my passion for creating a calm, nurturing and safe environment where children can feel happy, secure and confident.
I am committed to continuous learning and professional development and will be completing all required childminding training, safeguarding and paediatric first aid qualifications to provide high-quality care for every child in my setting ?

Currently in training but will hold everything below ready for starting in September 2026

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Available for funded hours for early years vacancies & wrap around school sessions
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Wollaston School
