About Me
Hi, I'm Kate! I am 22 years old and have just finished my degree at Bristol University. Throughout my time studying I have gained experience caring for children through babysitting newborns for up to a week at a time, and tutoring children age 4-15, both of which I have really enjoyed! Now that my studies have finished I am really excited to be able to spend more time working closely with children and becoming a supportive part of a family's daily lives.
As a friendly, dependable and responsible person I have always genuinely loved being around children, providing them with a positive and safe space to have fun, learn, and feel genuinely supported. I am organised, proactive, and happy helping with daily routines, creative actives, homework or simply being an extra pair of hands in a busy household!
My Experience
Having looked after newborns and children up to 18 months old for up to a week at a time, I have extensive experience with all aspects of daily care, including morning routines, nappy changes, bottle feeds, weaning, swimming lessons, and bath and bed routines. I love creating a happy environment where children feel safe, settled and encouraged to explore the world around them. Whether it’s reading stories, singing songs, trips to the park or introducing new activities, I enjoy finding fun and engaging ways to keep children entertained whilst encouraging their curiosity and creativity. I am patient, attentive and, adaptable, always ensuring each child (and family’s) needs and routines are met!
As both a babysitter and a tutor for children between the ages of 4-18, I have learned how to build trusting relationships with children of different ages and personalities, keeping them engaged while creating a positive and enjoyable environment. I understand the importance of balancing fun with consistency and routine, helping them feel comfortable and supported while giving parents the confidence that they are in safe and capable hands!
