About Me
We’re a warm and welcoming family of three — myself, my husband João, and our baby boy, who is currently seven months old. We’re starting to look for a part-time nanny to help care for our son when my maternity leave ends in late January 2026. Ideally, we’d like someone to start with us in December or early January, giving everyone time to get to know one another and to ensure a smooth and gentle transition for our son.
Once my maternity leave ends, we’ll need support for 5 hours a day, 3 days a week. Preferably this will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am to 3pm — though these days could be changed for the right person. I work from home so will be present during care hours.
By the end of this year we will be living in Abbey Wood, Southeast London, just a short walk from the Elizabeth Line station. We can provide a street parking permit if it is needed.
My husband João is originally from Porto, Portugal, and it’s important to us that our son grows up learning Portuguese. For that reason, we’re particularly looking for a native Portuguese speaker (from Portugal preferred) who can naturally incorporate the language into his care and play.
My Requirements

From late January onwards, we’ll need regular support three days a week — ideally Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am to 3pm (although these days could be changed for the right person). I’ll be working from home, so will be present during care hours.
Our son is half Portuguese and so we are keen to find a native Portuguese speaker (preferably from Portugal) who will speak to him in Portuguese during their time together. We’d love for him to begin picking up the language naturally through daily interaction and play.
We’ll be moving into our new home in Abbey Wood later this year, just a short walk from the Elizabeth Line station. If you drive, we’re happy to provide street parking permits.
