My Experience

With over 15 years of experience in childcare and youth support, I've had the opportunity to work with children and young people across a wide range of ages and developmental stages.

I spent more than 10 years working in a nursery setting, where I cared for children from infancy through preschool age. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of early childhood development, including how to nurture emotional growth, encourage early learning through play, and support children in reaching key milestones.

Following my time in early years education, I moved into a support role at a secondary school, working directly with students to promote their emotional well-being and overall welfare. My work included mentoring, helping students manage social and emotional challenges, and acting as a trusted adult they could turn to for support. I also collaborated with teachers and safeguarding teams to ensure each student felt safe, seen, and supported.

This combination of early years and adolescent support has given me a strong foundation in understanding the needs of children at every stage emotionally, socially, and developmentally. It’s an experience I’m deeply proud of and one that continues to shape how I care for and connect with the families I work with today.

Ba (Hons) Health and Social Care
