About Me
I have 5 years of childcare experience working at a primary school part time running an after school club and a summer club for 3 weeks during holiday times. I’m currently at Performers college in Essex studying musical theatre in my second year of training. I am an energetic, hardworking and caring person who has 4 years of childcare experience. I love being around children to help them grow and learn. I enjoy teaching children skills of sharing,advancing their academic skill’s and arts and crafts. Furthermore I thoroughly enjoy dancing and singing with children as it’s my biggest passion in life and I love being able to pass on my enthusiasm and love for the arts. I am very sporty and love to keep active, therefore integrating sports and fun exercise keeps children well entertained and teaches them new skills. I come from a family of teachers and I really enjoy looking after young children to help them flourish and grow while having fun and learning lots of new things.
My experience has allowed me to become a great team worker and has made me become well adapted to all aspects of the job.
My Experience
I currently have 4 years of childcare experience working at a primary school running the after school club and throughout the summer running a summer camp for 3 weeks with up to 40 children a day. In the last 3 years I have also worked as a teaching assistant during my long breaks off uni for summer, allowing me to work for a month at the end of summer term with the children. This allows me to be surrounded by all variety’s of children during their own working environment and presents opportunities for me to support children with SEN children and all children from nursery years to year 6. I am also first aid trained and DBS checked.
My first job working with children was at the age of 15 working at my performing arts school on the weekends. Teaching ballet to 4-6 year olds and musical theatre to 7-12 year olds. This immediately allowed me to enjoy teaching and looking after children to watch them grow and develop in new skills and I have carried this out throughout the rest of my experience.
My Qualifications
I received 3 A-levels with an A in English literature, B in religious studies and B in Drama
I am first aid trained
I am also DBS checked
I completed a level 4 foundation year at Italia Conti university in 2023
I am currently studying a BA Hons in Musical Theatre and dance at Performers College
My Availability
Due to my university timetable I am available in the evenings on weekdays after 6pm until 11pm.
I am available to work all day on the weekends.
