My Experience

I have over two years of experience working in childcare settings, alongside more than seven years of experience working with children in a variety of roles. I have extensive experience supporting children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) and I particularly enjoy working with children who require extra support, adapting my approach to meet their individual needs. I am confident working with children of all ages and creating inclusive, nurturing environments where every child feels safe and valued. I am fully trained in paediatric first aid and CPR and remain calm and responsive in emergency situations.

My Qualifications

Achieved through a 1 year and 2 month apprenticeship, combining practical, hands-on experience in a childcare setting with academic study. Level 7 SQA Social Services (Children and Young People)
Developed a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice.
Gained experience supporting children’s learning and wellbeing while working alongside experienced practitioners.

Completed 3 years of childcare studies during school, gaining early experience working with children in educational and childcare environments.
Built foundational knowledge of child development, play-based learning, and positive relationships with children.
Developed confidence working with children of different ages and needs.
