My Experience

My experience as a childcarer taught me far more than simply how to supervise young children. I learned patience on the days when things didn’t go to plan, creativity when inventing new games or activities, and empathy when helping a child navigate their emotions. I became skilled at balancing structure with flexibility, and I developed strong communication skills by keeping parents informed and reassured. Most importantly, I discovered the joy and responsibility that comes with helping children grow, learn, and feel secure.

My Qualifications

• Experience with multiple age groups: Caring for children from infants to school age, adapting activities and routines to their developmental needs.
• First Aid & Safety Awareness: Paediatric First Aid certified / Knowledge of emergency procedures / Basic first aid skills.
• Child Development Knowledge: Understanding of milestones, behavioural management, and age-appropriate learning.
• Creative Activity Planning: Organising educational games, crafts, reading sessions, and outdoor play to encourage learning and creativity.
• Strong Communication Skills: Building trust and positive relationships with children and parents; maintaining clear updates and reports.
