Hello! My name is Madeline. My wife and I just moved to Glasgow so that she may begin a permanent, full time position as a lecturer at The University of Glasgow. I am an avid reader and especially love inspiring and nurturing a love of reading in children. I also enjoy all things outdoors, animals, history, writing, and painting. My Experience
I have 15+ years experience working as a full time nanny. I have worked with children who range in ages from 9 months to 15 years. Additionally, I have 6 years experience working with children with ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, SPD, and Anxiety. Most recently I worked as a full time nanny for two girls — aged 5 and 7 when I began and 12 and 14 when I left. I believe that children do best with routine, patient/calm energy, and outlets for creative and athletic expression.
My Qualifications
I have 15+ years experience working with children aged 9months-15 years. My previous position lasted 6 years. I can provide multiple references.
My Availability
Currently I am looking for part time nanny work as I continue to get to know Glasgow and adjust to life as an American ex-pat. But am open to a full time position if the right fit presents itself! ** I should also note that while I have a full drivers license in the US, I do not currently have one in the UK (we moved just two months ago). All of my previous nanny jobs were driving heavy, but I’m not comfortable yet driving children in the UK (the other side of the road bit!) I am extremely comfortable with public transportation and walking, however.**
