About Me
Hello! My name is Madeline. My wife and I moved to Glasgow last summer so that she may begin a permanent, full time position as a lecturer at The University of Glasgow. I am an avid reader, and especially love inspiring and nurturing a love of reading in children! I also love being outdoors as much as possible, animals, history, art, and music. Additionally, I enjoy volunteering with Goven Community Project in their crèche program, cooking projects, and weekend adventures with my wife.
My Experience
I have 10+ years experience working as a professional nanny. I have worked with children who range in ages from newborn to 15 years. Additionally, I have 6 years experience working with children with ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, SPD, and Anxiety. Most recently I worked as a full time nanny for two girls — aged 5 and 7 when I began and 12 and 14 when I left. I believe that children do best with routine, patient/calm energy, and outlets for creative and athletic expression.
My Qualifications
I have a BA (Hons) in English literature from the University of North Carolina and 10+ years experience working with children aged newborn-15 years. My previous position lasted 6 years. I can provide multiple references. I am also a member of the PVG scheme as per my volunteer commitments.
My Availability
Currently I am looking for part time nanny work as I continue to get to know Glasgow and adjust to life as an American ex-pat. But am open to a full time position if the right fit presents itself!
** I should also note that while I have a full drivers license in the US, I do not currently have a UK license. While a car and UK drivers licenses are in our future, my wife and I currently rely on public transportation, walking, and cycling**

- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
