About Me
We are a family in Clapton, Hackney. I have lived in London all my life, my partner is from California USA. The kids are lovely and pretty easy-going, age 9 and 11 (girl and boy), good-natured, playful. We have a 12 year old Labrador dog, who is very gentle (and quite old) so you would need to be OK with pets. We both work full time (him: robotics, and her: architecture).
Our eldest will have just started secondary school at Haggerston and our youngest will still be in y5 at primary school locally.
At home there is plenty of room for activities and using the kitchen and a smallish garden.
My Requirements
We looking for an after-school childminder for 4-5 days (10-15 hours) a week FROM EARLY SEPTEMBER 2025 indefinitely. Our youngest sometimes does after school club (until 4.45pm) at school, depending on the situation- there’s some flexibility on which days if any. Our eldest will come home from school by himself.
There may also be extra days and hours in the school holidays where it would be very helpful to have more childcare - but only if that suits you.
We'd like to meet someone who can pick our youngest up from school, and be there when our eldest gets home from his new secondary school, make them a snack and hang out with them, play and help them with some simple reading, spelling or encourage them to do their online homework, before a simple dinner at about 6pm.
They can also watch 20 mins tv before dinner if there's time.
It would involve making a pretty basic meal for them (simple pasta and veg, or re-heat something etc). We'll both be done by 7pm, could be a bit earlier too - some days from 6pm if needed. Thanks for your interest.
