I’m a 26-year-old Irish student who has recently moved to Edinburgh to start my MSc in Play Therapy this September. I hold a BA in Child, Youth & Family: Policy and Practice and a qualification in Early Years Care and Education. I have hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and needs, and I genuinely enjoy creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments where children feel comfortable and supported. My Experience
I have several years of professional experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. While living in Canada, I worked as a family nanny for two different households, providing consistent care and support tailored to each child’s needs. I have also spent several years working in early years settings across both mainstream and specialised services, supporting children with a wide range of developmental needs.
During this time, I progressed into senior roles including Room Leader and Facility Manager, where I gained leadership experience in staff supervision, curriculum planning, and creating inclusive learning environments. I have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, and I am committed to promoting every child’s development, wellbeing, and independence.
