About Me

Hello, we are a family of three looking for a kind, reliable babysitter to support us with our 2 year old son, Jacob. Jacob is our first child and so we naturally feel a little nervous about inviting someone new into his life. However, as we don’t have a local support system, we feel it’s the right time to find a babysitter we can trust—someone Jacob can build a positive relationship with and who we can call on consistently when we need a helping hand.

A little about us: I work as an electrical engineer and my partner works for the council, mainly from home. She attends monthly evening meetings which sometimes overlap with my work schedule. On those occasions, we’d need someone to cover the short gap between her leaving and me getting home.

We are also expecting our second baby at the end of February. Being pregnent while working from home and parenting a toddler can be quite challenging so from time to time we’ll need a few extra hours of help during the week—whether that’s to give my partner some rest or time to focus on her work. There may also be the occasional nursery pick-up (Jacob attends a Montessori nursery two days a week).

As for Jacob, he is a funny, charismatic, energetic and sweet little boy. He loves helping in the kitchen, enjoys being outdoors and is absolutely obsessed with water play! We’d love to find someone proactive who is happy to take him to the local park, play with him in the garden, or engage him with age-appropriate activities at home. Jacob has just entered the “teachable twos” stage, so we are looking for someone calm, patient and experienced with toddlers to guide him through this exciting (and sometimes challenging) phase.
