Self?Employed Childminder Needed – Care in Our Home (6?Month?Old Baby)
Hours: 5 hours per day, 4 mornings per week (20 hours total)
Location: Wanborough
Start Date: April 2026
We are a warm, friendly family looking for a self?employed childminder to provide high?quality care in our home for our 6?month?old baby. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced, nurturing, and confident working with young infants.
Caring for our 6?month?old in a safe, loving and stimulating home environment.
Supporting early developmental milestones through age?appropriate play.
Managing feeds, nappy changes and maintaining a clean, organised space.
Clear communication with parents about routines and daily activities.
Following EYFS principles, as expected of trained childminders.
The care will take place in a non?smoking household with one small, gentle and well?behaved dog.
Requirements
Paediatric First Aid (12?hour) — required for safe childcare practice.
Safeguarding / Child Protection Training — mandatory for anyone working with children.
Enhanced DBS Check — required for the childminder.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
Must be self?employed and responsible for own tax, insurance, and professional obligations.
Desirable Qualifications
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Home?Based Childcare — excellent preparation for home?based carers.
Early Years Practitioner (Level 2) or Early Years Educator (Level 3) — recognised childcare qualifications.
Training aligned with Early Years Qualification Requirements & Standards (updated 2026).
