About Me
I am a university student looking to help with babysitting/childcare in Winchester during term time. I have worked with children since I was 14, starting with babysitting for family and friends. Then I moved on to work as a youth worker for a holiday club, which I have worked at for 5 years now. I have also done work placements at nurseries, and currently work at a breakfast and afterschool club in Winchester. As the oldest out of 6, I am very responsible and reliable. I enjoy creating activities that support development, while also being fun and exciting. I am currently studying for a degree in Psychology and Child Development, which I hope to take further to do a masters course in Play Therapy.
My Experience
I have worked with children ages 1-15. Babysitting I have cared for babies and toddlers, following their routines, and creating a safe environment. As a youth worker, I work with children aged 10-15, providing them with lunch, and exciting activities such as swimming, rounders, sports tournaments, and much more. As a play worker at a breakfast and after school club, I encourage educational play, while doing observations and tracking children’s development.
My Qualifications
At secondary school, I achieved an A* in a level 2 BTEC in childcare, which I then studied further at college for a level 3 BTEC, and achieved a Distinction. I am currently doing a degree in Psychology and Child Development where I am studying developmental psychology amongst other subjects. I am also Paediatric First Aid trained, and DBS checked.
