About Me
Hi there! I am a second year Scottish student at the University of St Andrews, studying English and Modern history. I am an avid reader and very creative, taking part in lots of arts and crafts activities in my spare time. I get on well with children having a very sociable and friendly atmosphere. I am confident when handling difficult situations and can be relied on to display kindness, empathy and a calm demeanour in any position I'm in. I like to bring a lot of fun into my life and find babysitting a very fulfilling way to spend my time and earn some money.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for different neighbours throughout high school, most of my experience being with primary school aged children. I did morning school runs - provided breakfast and morning activities before driving kids to school and taking part in drop off. I also have experience with evening babysitting, dinner, bathtime, homework, stories and bedtime etc. Through all of this experience I feel comfortably confident providing babysitting services at any point in the day and with whatever added responsibilities required.
Additionally, this summer I worked as the arts and crafts counselor at a family camp. I was in charge of providing creative activities for children during the morning hours as well as afternoon activities for the whole camp. I was responsible for groups of children ranging in age from 4 to 16, in groups of up to 10 at once. Through this I am confident handling behavioural issues and keeping children occupied for extended periods of time. I have lots of experience with art activities and many creative ideas that I'd love to implement in a babysitting environment.
My Qualifications
I achieved AAAAB in my higher exams plus AA in my advanced highers in 6th year. I comfortably passed all of my first year University modules in english, history, comparative literature and art history. I have an International Child Protection Certificate provided for my time with Camp America this summer.
My Availability
As a humanities student I have a fairly light Uni timetable with free mornings and evenings. I have free days Wednesdays and Fridays as well as very flexible weekend availability. Please message me if you have any questions I am very flexible and happy to work around your schedule and needs.
