About Me
My name is Louise Gaughan. I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I have 20 years experience of working with children.
I live in Richmond in North Yorkshire with my husband and daughter and we also have a grown up daughter. My house is a relaxed, friendly, homely environment and I aim to make the children`s time here a happy and enjoyable one. I meet regularly with local childminders and attend outings which we arrange together. This enables the children to mix with larger groups of children. I have a safe enclosed rear garden.
The children in my care are able to develop at their own pace through a mixture of both child led and adult led activities. Activities include play groups, messy play, arts and crafts, baking, puzzles, dressing up, role play, small world play, large equipment such as ball pool or tunnel, story times, puppets, music, singing and dancing.
We spend time out in the fresh air, with visits to lots of different places around our area including Kipling Hall, play parks, walks or stay home and play in the garden.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage principles.
My Experience
I have worked with children for many years, as a nanny, in a Nursery setting as a deputy in a local Montessori Nursery and now as a childminder. I have been a childminder for 14 years. Ofsted grading - good.

My Availability
I have a space for a pre school child. I offer term time spaces with no fees in the school holidays or spaces for all year round.. Funded places may be available for 3 and 4 yr olds for 15 or 30 hrs and 15 hrs for some 2 yr olds if eligible.

I cannot recommend Louise’s Childminding highly enough, I could not of asked for more for my children, they all absolutely love spending time at Louise’s and have amazing relationships with Louise who has completely welcomed them into her home. I’ve always felt completely comfortable leaving them with Louise every morning. Louise is part of a great network of other Childminder’s that provide the children with a good social group, spending time at playgroups, exciting trips out and quality time in the house.
