My name is Evelyn, and I am a recent graduate seeking to offer one-to-one tutoring lessons to GCSE and A-Level students in English and Spanish. Originally from Argentina, I am a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English, which allows me to support learners in both languages with confidence and cultural insight.
I work full-time as a bookseller, a role that has strengthened my ability to create a warm, nurturing environment through literature. Whether leading a book club, organising author events, or helping readers discover new stories, I have developed a strong sense of how to engage people of all ages with language and ideas.
I have experience working with children and young people in both academic and creative settings, and I enjoy designing lessons that are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. In addition to tutoring, I also enjoy working with children more broadly and would be happy to offer babysitting support. An elder sister to three brothers, I am naturally drawn to and enjoy taking care of little ones. I have experience working with children from ages 2-17.

My Experience
I have two first-class degrees from the University of Bristol, where I undertook a BA in English Literature and an MA in Comparative Literatures. Throughout my degree, I tutored students and led course refresher courses. I specialised in essay-writing workshops, 'how to' reference classes and helped to guide students through the course content.
Alongside my work as a bookseller, I have experience creating welcoming spaces for children and young people, helping them learn with confidence.
I also enjoy working with families in a supportive role and am happy to offer babysitting as well as tutoring.

My Availability
Due to my full-time role as a bookseller, I am available to work after 5pm. Do enquire as I may have flexibility for other days and weekends.
For online tutoring sessions, I can work until later.
