We are new parents to a 1 year old and had to find a childminder or nursery to send our daughter to, as I was set to return to work in April 2026. We came across Katherine's profile on a website offering childminding services, and she fit exactly what we were looking for. Our daughter has been with Katherine since I returned to work in April and we couldn't be happier, or feel luckier that we chose her to look after our child. She is fantastic and has such an excellent bond with our child. We knew we had found an excellent childminder from the offset, as Katherine was thoughtful and strategic in ensuring settling in sessions were as gentle and effective as possible. She provides high quality meals, full of healthy and varied options for both breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks throughout the day. Our daughter is also treated to a range of stimulating activities that keep her busy, happy, and have been thoughtfully designed to facilitate her mental and physical development. She also ensures they go out multiple times a week, to the library, or the park, or play groups. We were naturally nervous sending our 10 month old off to childcare so soon, but Katherine has gone above and beyond in her efforts to make sure we have regular updates and are happy with how she is taking care of our daughter. We need never have worried, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her services to anyone who wants to find professional, passionate and truly excellent childcare for their child.

Katherine has been absolutely wonderful with my daughter, Marcie, who is 4 and has some undiagnosed SEN needs. From the moment we met her, she was warm, understanding, and genuinely caring. She took the time to get to know Marcie, understand her individual needs, and create an environment where she feels safe, happy, and confident to be herself.
Katherine’s background as an early years teacher really shines through- she’s incredibly thoughtful in how she plans activities that both support Marcie’s development and follow her interests, which are numbers, drawing and imaginative play! She always finds creative ways to help Marcie learn and have fun at the same time.
Marcie also absolutely loves playing with Katherine’s daughter, Molly. The two of them have developed such a sweet friendship, and it’s been wonderful to see how much joy and confidence that bond has brought Marcie, who was rather shy before.
Communication has been brilliant too, Katherine keeps us updated every day with lovely photos and messages, which means so much. It’s clear she truly cares and goes above and beyond to make each child feel special and included.
We honestly couldn’t ask for a better childminder. Marcie adores her time with Katherine, and we’re so grateful for the patience, understanding, and love she’s shown us. We are happy to call Katherine and Molly close friends!
