My Requirements

Nanny Required – 18-Month-Old Girl
For long term, who can work 4 days a week, weekly total 30-40 hours required.

We are looking for a warm, caring, playful and thoughtful nanny to look after our 18-month-old daughter.

The Setup
A close friend has a son the same age, and we are creating a shared childcare setup where each child has their own dedicated nanny. We would like the children to spend as much time together as possible, while still having individual care and attention. There will also be times when you will look after our daughter independently.

Our Approach
We value a positive, gentle and playful approach, with clear and consistent boundaries. When something isn't possible, we prefer to explain, redirect or offer an alternative rather than simply saying "no".

We are looking for someone who is curious about the individual child and enjoys observing, understanding what works for them and trying different approaches rather than relying on a fixed formula.

We believe relationships should develop naturally through trust, play and positive experiences. We also recognise that children learn gradually, so we value progress over speed and don't want unnecessary pressure placed on the child.

As our daughter develops, we like to think carefully about new boundaries and approaches and welcome the nanny's observations, experience and ideas. We value open and constructive discussions about what might work and why.

What We're Looking For

Warm, patient, playful and genuinely enjoys toddlers.

Curious, observant and adaptable.

Enjoys activities, outings, reading, creative play and outdoor time.

Comfortable working alongside another nanny.

Confident caring for an 18-month-old independently.

Good communicator and comfortable discussing ideas openly with parents.

Happy to help with light child-related household tasks, such as tidying toys/play areas

Most importantly, we want someone who will build a genuine bond with our daughter and enjoy helping her learn, explore and grow in a happy and relaxed environment.
