My Experience

My journey into childcare began when I was living in Spain as a teenager. I started babysitting two little Scottish girls during school holidays and weekends, and they truly made me realise how much I loved helping little minds grow and be creative.

When I moved back to England, I pursued my passion by studying Level 2 Childcare at college, completing several placements that gave me hands-on experience. I then progressed to my Level 3 qualification through an apprenticeship, working in a nursery where I had the opportunity to float between all the different rooms. This helped me gain valuable experience with children of all ages.

Once I qualified, I became Room Leader for the baby room, a role I absolutely loved. About a year later, I covered maternity leave for the Deputy Manager, supporting the Nursery Manager with the daily running of the setting — a fantastic opportunity that really developed my leadership and organisational skills.

After leaving the nursery environment, I transitioned into nannying, which has been the most rewarding chapter yet. For the past seven years, I’ve worked for a wonderful private family, caring for three cheeky and energetic boys. I’ve supported them through every stage — from learning to crawl, walk, talk, swim, and ride bikes, to developing confidence, kindness, and curiosity. It’s been a privilege to watch them grow into such lovely young boys and to have been part of their family for so long. I finished with this family in May 2025.

Since becoming a mummy to my beautiful little girl in May 2025, I’ve taken time to truly enjoy this special chapter of my life and reflect on my next steps. I’m now excited to begin my journey into childminding—a career that allows me to continue doing what I love while also being there for my own child.

I have created a warm, welcoming, and nurturing home environment where little minds can grow, learn, and thrive. I live in a ground-floor maisonette with direct access to a lovely garden, which I have adapted to be a fun and engaging space for children to explore in all weathers.

I will be caring for a maximum of three children from Monday to Thursday (including my own), with the possibility of one additional older child during school holidays. Keeping numbers small allows me to provide attentive, high-quality care and meaningful experiences for each child.

With a five-seater car, I plan to get out and about every day so the children can explore new environments and socialise with others. Our outings will include nature walks, parks, soft play centres, farms, nature reserves, and much more.

My Availability

I will be caring for a maximum of three children from Monday to Thursday (including my own), with the possibility of one additional older child during school holidays. Keeping numbers small allows me to provide attentive, high-quality care and meaningful experiences for each child. My Opening hours are 7-5:30 but I can be flexible for the right family!

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Childminding from £8.50 per hour
