My Summary

My Experience

Over the past few years, I've had experience working with children in a variety of settings. Most recently, I spent the summer working as a camp
counsellor in America, leading environmental education for children aged 7-15, and caring for a cabin of girls aged
8-10. This required me planning sessions for a range of age groups, leading activities, using my sense of initiative and ensuring that the campers were safe and happy. Through this role, I also developed strategies for behaviour management and completed safeguarding training.
Before that, I volunteered for six months with Brownies (Girlguiding UK), helping to run weekly sessions for girls aged 7-10. 1 supported the leaders in planning and delivering activities, supervising group games and more importantly, caring for individual children when problems arose, such as upset or injury.
I also tutored GCSE biology for a younger student for a year and helped him to achieve a grade that he was proud of. This role helped me to develop patience, adaptability and communication skills - qualities of which I also bring into childcare.

2nd year BSc Conservation Biology and Ecology student at the University of Exeter.

Experience in childcare and youth leadership.

My Availability

Due to currently being at university, I have a somewhat flexible schedule yet I have most availability at the weekends and evenings.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I think this rate reflects my current experience and is in line with typical babysitting fees in the UK. However, I'm always happy to discuss different rates with families.
